Hi All,

I'm afraid I also need to apologise for my absence over the last weeks/months. I haven't been ill or anything, just seem to have lost that indefinable "spark" I just feel as though it has all been done before, (know what I mean?).

When I go to take a shot I feel as though I have done the same thing a million times before, and "is anything fresh & new".

But I suppose I should be grateful that I am still able to get out and photograph and that I am still (fairly) fit. (Must try harder).

All the Best, John.

There comes a time when we all lose that "drive" or "spark " that ignites our enthusiasm boilers John, quite often lost during the dark and dreary Winter months, unsurprisingly the first hints of Spring sets the old juices going again, does for me anyway, still its good to see you back posting, and fairly fit at that, good health, thats a lot to be thankful for,

Merlynn.

Well I was wondering where you were John so glad you're back.
Now hey let's have no more defeatist talk here, I'm sure the Bluebell line will have oodles of camera opportunities for you to exploit and dish up for our delectation. So come on get going loco's, trains, stations, in fact anything to do with railways for me is OK John so get clicking. Laughing

I know just how you feel, John, since I have been feeling the same. I was commenting regularly and then summer and the very hot weather arrived which meant that my sunroom, where the computer is, had temperatures up into the 40s with no air conditioner to keep it cool.

But since I do have an air conditioner in the bedroom and quite a lot of new books to read you can imagine how I have been spending my days after all the essential things have been done in the house.

As Merlynn noted, it affects us all at some time or another John but usually something comes along to spur us into action. George has provided a good idea and, if I may, can I add a further twist to it and set you a little challenge? For every wide view shot you take, how about getting in very close to use your creative talents to pick out some detail - the angular components of the valve gear, a highly polished carriage door handle, reflection in paintwork etc Very Happy Come on, give us all a treat and get snapping.

Regards

Keith
